Equestrian Trails Conference Date Set By Kentucky Equine Research Staff · June 11, 2012

The Southeastern Equestrian Trails Conference (SETC) will host a meeting in Lexington, Kentucky, from July 12 to 14, 2012.  SETC is one of the foremost supporters of equestrian trails advocacy and sustainability.

Lectures and seminars will address how to build and sustain trails and how to interface with various governmental agencies, programs, and grant sources. A presentation by a youth riding group will be featured.  

Topics to be discussed will include mules and packing, developing trails at your county park, the “Leave No Trace” ethic and practical techniques, drainage and mud management, and weed control methods.
