Veterinary Firm to Host Sale Yearlings ForumBy Kentucky Equine Research Staff · August 1, 2012
Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital will host an educational forum on August 16 to discuss sales yearlings. The meeting will take place at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, Kentucky. A welcome reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the panel discussion from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Attendees will view radiographic images of joints and endoscopic videos of throats in sales yearlings. A veterinary panel will discuss different types of radiographic and throat abnormalities and their impact on sales and racing with and without surgery. Recent changes in the conditions of sale regarding veterinary radiographic reports at public auction will also be discussed.
